Breaking Cancer News is honored to be working with the perfect partner: Teen Cancer America.
Teen Cancer America’s mission is to increase survival and improve the lives of adolescent and young adults with cancer by transforming hospitals to better serve their needs. The organization’s vision is that every adolescent and young adult diagnosed with cancer has access to age-appropriate, specialized AYA programs and space no matter where they are treated in the U.S.
Simon Davies is Executive Director of Teen Cancer America, and the founders of the organization are Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend of The Who, the legendary rock band.
They’ve been supporting people with cancer for more than 30 years.
A coalition of 50-plus cancer hospitals, multiple oncologists, scientists, cancer patients and patient advocates, social workers, authors, journalists and the general public at Teen Cancer America have come together along with pharma, biotech, liquid biopsy and early detection companies and more to create Breaking Cancer News, a positive, forward-thinking, information-focused news initiative.
And if you’re interested in hearing stories about young people and their journeys fighting cancer, have a look at our friends who publish the great magazine Elephants and Tea.
